For 12 days, we explored the traditions of Lakota and Celtic spirituality, and from that expanded perspective grew into a more meaningful understanding of Christian beliefs. In short, it rocked. If you're in the Richmond area this Sunday night, September 8th, be sure to come by the church at 6 pm for a dinner and presentation on the trip. If we ever get all the pictures scanned, there'll even be a slide show.

The thing is, though, any slide show of the Pilgrimage could never come close to portraying the enormity of the experience. Since so much of what we saw and did was sacred, such as the prayer walk at Bear Butte and the Inipi Lodge, cameras were strictly prohibited. The best parts of our trip are undocumented except for stories. But we've got plenty of those.

Ginter Park Presbyterian Church, located in Richmond, VA, plays host to the Journey to Adulthood program. Since September 2000, this particular J2A class has been engaged in the study of 4 topics: Self, Society, Sexuality and Spirituality. Not really a traditional Sunday School class and very different from a typical Youth Group, the class has dissected issues most churches wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole. This group has come a long way in two years, and this site will be devoted to the individuals, their concerns, activities, thoughts, and of course, pictures. More to come.
